Career Development

LinkedIn Group

We have a LinkedIn Group for UC Berkeley Chemical Engineering alumni and current graduate students. This is a great way for current students and alumni to interact and for alumni to recruit Berkeley graduate students to their companies. LinkedIn also has tools for filtering job postings based on your professional area of interest.

Job List Emails

The graduate coordinator will send out announcements on the departmental distribution lists when companies that express particular interest in chemical engineering graduate students are hosting information sessions and interviews.

Career Center Resources

Handshake is UC Berkeley's career center site. All events, information sessions, and career fairs are listed in Handshake. Handshake users have the ability to search for job and internship opportunities through the website. Handshake is also where you will apply for jobs, see relevant career articles, sign up for events and workshops and access the on-campus recruiting program.

The Berkeley career center hosts a series of presentations and other events and resources targeted at graduate students. For more information, see the Career Center page for graduate students.

Andrew Green, a PhD Career Counselor at the UCB Career Center, hosted a series of seminars in Spring 2015. Check out the career seminar summaries and slides that Andrew presented at this excellent event.
